The Owner, Shantael

I was the previous owner of Artistry by Shantael, located in the heart of Providence, RI. Currently, while managing an ever growing business in North Carolina, I also am a massage instructor, training specialist and esthetic consultant.

I am a Massachusetts graduate from Elizabeth Grady School of Massage Therapy and Esthetics in Medford, MA.

Duly licensed in both massage and esthetics, I specialize in waxing, facials with the concentration on anti-aging and hyperpigmentation, relaxation massage and therapeutic body treatments such as cupping, wood therapy and body buffing.

My services list also include eyebrow and eyelash tinting and medical-grade peels. As an advocate of education, I am very knowledgeable in many aspects of the beauty industry. A transplant from Dallas, Texas, I have spent the last 10 years in my own private practice in Providence, RI and Cary, NC

Caim Wellness Center and Spa offers a very unique one-on-one approach to the esthetic world offering many services hard to find in other spas. Caim Wellness Center and Spa is my introduction to the esthetics and massage world in North Carolina.

The Artist,  Josalyn

Aloha! My name is Josalyn.  I am an actively licensed Cosmetologist and I have been helping both women and men achieve their best looks for over 20 years. With the beauty industry constantly evolving, I’ve expanded my passion towards pursuing my certification as a Micro-pigmentation Specialist to provide semi cosmetic tattoo services.

I originally obtained my license in the State of Hawaii and now licensed to practice in the State of North Carolina. I have acquired my certification with the Hawaii Academy of Permanent Cosmetics in 2007. I started my PMU career at a well known permanent makeup center in Honolulu, HI for over 6 years, where I earned a senior technician position.

My goal was to build up the skills sets needed to help build my own business. By incorporating the skills I have acquired from my instructors and fellow technicians, I developed my very own style that gave me the confidence to take the opportunity to venture on my own. With the love, support and encouragement from my wonderful family and true friends and colleagues, Makeup for Keeps was born.

The Athlete, Carrie

I have always been interested in how the body works and its different healing practices. With my background rooted in sports, I understand the importance of preserving the body and using massage as a tool to improve overall well-being.

I received her training in Massage therapy at Gwinnett College in Raleigh, NC. Prior to becoming a massage therapist,I coached Volleyball at Hillside High School in Durham, NC and fell in love with athletes and with helping them reach their peak performance potential by performing deep tissue techniques, sports massage and implementing proper recovery methods.

In addition to massage therapy, I am energetically involved in the community and enjoys volunteering at my local YMA with youth sports. On weekends, you'll probably find me playing at sand courts improving my volleyball game or simply spending time with family.

The Socialite, Tiara

A Boston native, I moved to North Carolina in 2019 in pursuit of a simpler life. As a mother of 4 adult boys, I know what it takes to manage a hectic lifestyle.

I am the author of a successful podcast called "Ask Tiara". The Ask Tiara Podcast is about the emotional luxury of learning & loving on yourself. It’s not about telling you to meditate or take a walk to feel better. It’s about how to handle yourself in the midst of it all. We’ll talk real life scenarios and experiences through honest conversation. The relationship you have with yourself sets the tone for the all the other relationships in your life - so, let’s talk about it.
